Japanese Care Package....

This weekend we created a Japanese care package for a family consisting of a man, woman, and little girl. We heard on the radio that they really need socks because of the cold and wet conditions, so we put several pair of socks, flip flops, toothpaste, toothbrushes, other personal care items, hard candy, hot cocoa mix, lots of other things.... and our contact information. The thought is that some day when they get "on their feet", they will contact us to be a "pen pal".... which is an outdated concept... so maybe "email pals".

Jazzy's duck friends....

Our duck friends have returned this year. There is a female and two males.... probably a offspring who is overstaying a bit with his mom and dad! They kept us company last weekend for our garage sale, and show up almost daily now to be fed. Last night Jasmine was taking a nap after swimming, and the ducks were on our little front porch. I just yelled to Jazzy...."Your ducks are waiting to be fed on the porch".... and she jumped up and ran outside:) which is why she looks a bit disheveled.
