Five years ago in HoiAn, VN.....

I met Jazzy five years ago today as I was sitting in the orphanage director's office! No warning or anything. Didn't tell me they were bringing her in. They just brought her in very unceremoniously, and she began screaming at the top of her lungs as they kept saying "Mom" in Vietnamese!!:) I thought.. yikes.. she really doesn't like me already,- wouldn't let me feed her for a day or so out of the orphanage, tried to get away from me at the hotel:) Then she started making little noises and "talking" non-stop when we left the orphanage for good--- until today! Here we are on November 14th or 15th, 2008, when she was still officially living at the orphanage. There was a sponsored party at a different location for kids with birthdays in November. It actually stopped raining for a few hours, even though we were soaking wet due to the heat and humidity. We both looked very raggedy:) At the orphanage.
