Happy Birthday Jazzy!
Aced the math and spelling test! Jasmine wanted to bring popsicles for her class today, so I brought them to the school early this morning. I went to the school at 2:30, 15 minutes prior to when they were supposed to sing Happy Birthday to her and eat the popsicles, and they were already done!!! I was completely bummed out. I missed it!
Then we went to skating lessons and played around outside in the front yard with Jessie.
It was a fun day. Big party tomorrow!!
Opening birthday presents....
Last night, I allowed Jazzy to open her presents because this morning we had to study for a spelling and math test that is happening today. 3-D Game for Vision Therapy, Pizza Making Math Game, Lego Heartland Vet Clinic:), little microscope, earrings, Brave Audio Book, Growums seeds to start her own garden!
Then,... we had to go to the grocery store to get popsicles for Mrs. Walker's first grade class. Now I am stuck at home all day because they are replacing my windshield from the rock strike last week! Just as well... it's 116 degrees... hottest day of the year so far.
Begining of the year Eye Exam....
Dr. DeSimone and Jazzy making funny faces.
Jasmine has come a long way with her eyes, but we still have some work to do. She still cannot see 100% three-dimensionally. Have to keep up with Vision Therapy at home for years to come.

Goody bags done!
All goody bags done today! The one with the blue tie is for the only boy at the party- Gadiel! No lip gloss or Hello Kitty necklace in his bag:) The only person who could not come is Theresa, one of Jazzy's ice skating friends. There is a big competition on the other side of town on the same day as the party. We wanted to "train" for it, but I didn't think I could take the stress of an ice skating competition AND a birthday party all in one weekend. Jasmine would have been fine... but not me!
48 hours post dental surgery: Liquid Diet- Check. Sleep sitting up- Check. No exercise- No Check. Went to the gym yesterday and did light weights, then to yoga today. Doing well otherwise!

Dental Surgery! Yippee!
Thanks to wearing braces 15 years ago, I had to endure a little surgery today at the Dental College, AT Still Dental School in Mesa. They took a connective tissue graft from my hard palate, and placed it on the lower gum area that had eroded due to forces from previous braces. Got there at 8:30AM, and just now finishing at 1:30PM!
Kind of bummed that my third year resident moved away, and now I have a first year resident fresh out of dental school. Surgeon was great- Dr. Feinberg I really like how they take their time and let every student, resident... anyone who wants to, watch the procedure, and the surgeon explains every little move he is making and the reasoning behind placing each little suture where he did. Very important in grafting. The students and residents seemed to be much more comfortable asking questions as compared to OSU Vet School where the students were just accessories and pay LOTS of money just to stand in the corner and hold an instrument while the nasty surgeon throws things around the room. Everyone was afraid to even say anything, let alone ask a potentially stupid question. Hopefully that has changed at OSU over the years, but probably not. Today certainly put a big dent in my dental implant savings account... but it needed to be done. I don't know if I'll ever be able to get the silly implants. Every time I almost have enough, something else has to be done that eats up the account.
Whew, I would like to take a "pain killer" right now and go to bed, but have to pick Jazzy up from school.
Hopefully she will let me sleep when we get home!
Then... tomorrow I get to call to have my windshield replaced *again*! It seems to happen once or twice a year. Big rock flying thru the air on the way to the dental school picked MY windshield to hit!
