Notice any resemblance?

Last show......

Today was the last Cinderella show! Yippee! Jazzy's kindergarten teacher, Melissa Wachtel and her fiancee Jeremy came to watch, as well as Gadiel, Abby and Jenny. It was probably the best show, as compared to last night when everyone fell down and was late for their performances.

We had a party after the show- cake and punch:) We were going to go out for lunch/dinner with Gaidel, Abby, and Jenny.... but they had to pick Mark up from work... since their other car broke down:( Jazzy and I went to Red Lobster right across the street from the ice rink. So did alot of other people from the show, so we weren't alone:) Jasmine loves seafood. She insists on eating the tail of the shrimp! --- "because all Vietnamese people eat the tails, and so do people from Arizona:)". (A Jazzy quote from today). This person from Arizona does not eat the tails! Yuk!

I am so ready for a vacation right now!:)

Miss Wachtel, Jeremy and Jazzy after the show.

At Red Lobster- showing her hair. She had *tons* of glitter in her hair... which doesn't show up in the photo.

Jasmine wanted me to take a picture of her with all of her stuffed animals from skating this weekend- a mouse, Chi dog, Bear with a tutu just like Jazzy's, and a doll.

What a day!.....

Jasmine refused to take a nap today, so she was tired and grumpy at the show. Then, we waited over an hour for her second number "Falling in Love with You"... which was the normal time between her performances. I must have asked her at least 18 times... not exaggerating.... if she had to go potty, and she said "no". I personally walked her over to the warm up area, so I knew she was ready to go onstage. Then, right when she was supposed to go on the ice, she decided she had to go to the bathroom!! I was watching from the sidelines- and her song started... and no Jasmine!! The director of the show had to take Jasmine to the bathroom, and did get her back on the ice for a few seconds before the song ended. She (Nicole- the director) gave me a dirty look, and said... "why didn't you take your daughter to the bathroom before the performance"?. I transferred the dirty look over to Jasmine, who started crying and didn't stop the whole night. She wanted to go home, but I made her go on the ice anyway.... so,... of course, this was video night. (the night the video was being taped). Jasmine was crying for the whole finale- which of course, was taped. From now on, until she is 18 years old, if she says she doesn't have to go to the bathroom, I am going to take her, sit her on the toilet and stand there until she goes. After 18, she's on her own. Other than that, the night went pretty well.

Waiting to go on the ice.

First night of the big show....

It went pretty smoothly. Hope I get to watch the show maybe on Sunday!

Jazzy and friends.....

Grandma and Grandpa gave Jasmine a little mouse beanie baby named Cheezer. I gave it to her after the show. It was really cute, and everyone wanted to know where she got it.

I feel lucky when....

Today, Jasmine's class was supposed to write on their 4-leaf clover.... "I feel lucky when..." and she wrote "I feel lucky.... I got adopit". I had to ask her what it said , "I feel lucky when I got adopted".
Almost cried....:)

PT Conference....

Today, we had the parent-teacher conference with Miss Wachtel. Jazzy got all E's and E+'s this semester- in every subject! She is doing great with building sentences, copying words from the board, spelling, math, art, music and PE. Ready to go to first grade- she says!

"Dear Mom and.. (other kids wrote Dad),
"Welcome to my class! I have been working hard at school. I am almost ready for 1st grade! I can't wait!"
Love Jasmine

Really long day.....

We got up extremely early this morning to be at Polar Ice by 8AM for photo sessions and Cinderella dress rehearsal. Everyone had to have curly hair and make up! I don't know how many kids are in the production... maybe 100... so imagine taking each child's photo individually, plus each group, plus the entire cast on the ice. It took the whole morning just for photos. Then... the dress rehearsal took four more hours. Jasmine and all the other little kids were crying at the end because it was like being in a cold freezer for the entire day. Note to self: go to REI or some place like that and get hand and body warmers for Jasmine before the shows next week.

Then.... luckily we brought our swimming gear for swim lessons that we have every Sunday. Even though it was 85 degrees today, we first stopped at the nearest Vietnamese restaurant to get a steaming hot bowl of Pho before swim lessons, just so we could get warmed up. The swim instructor saw Jasmine's hair and said..."What! Is it "crazy hair day" today?" :)

Now we are going to collapse on the couch. Jasmine is the one who did all the work... skating and swimming, but I had to keep track of all the costume changes, getting on the ice, getting hot drinks and hot food... I am totally exhausted. Kind of glad that we only do this once a year... for now anyway!

Waiting in line for photos.
