CEE Spring Concert....

The theme of the Spring Concert this year was "Around the World in Music". Each class had two countries to represent. Second grade represented the Caribbean and Philipines. They sang "Shake the Papaya Down" and two Filipino Folk Songs. At the end the whole school sang "Put a Little Love in the World":) We got home very late!

Another long weekend... Happy Mother's Day!

Skating all morning- as always, then ballet recital rehearsal, then to Charlotte an Camille Smith's birthday party! We're only skating two days per week now due to the temporary closure of our rink, but Jasmine is really coming along- progressing more quickly in some ways. No skating for two weeks now due to our trip and ballet rehearsals. The Classic Image Ballet Troupe is performing "West Side Story". Jasmine's class song is "I Feel Pretty":) She is also in a Jazz and Tap number- but not related to the ballet theme. Next, Charlotte and Camille are twins at our school. Their house is really close, so we will catch the tail end of their birthday party. Jasmine just could not contain herself this morning with the Mother's Day gift:)) My beautiful Mother's Day gift!

Let's Play Music party....

Tonight was the final "Let's Play Music" party at "Pump It Up"- celebrating the completion of 3 years! First year... very easy. Second year- more time consuming, third year- ridiculously difficult. I didn't even know what they were doing half of the time. Some kids are going to do a year of piano or some other instrument, then repeat the third year. We might do that. We already have a new piano teacher starting mid-June, and she is familiar with the "Let's Play Music" curriculum. It will be strange not spending every Wednesday night at Ms. Janalee's house with Zeek Coyle, Scotty Larson, Jasmine and Ciera Leone. Those four have been together the whole three years! We will miss it because of a ballet recital rehearsal. Jasmine is going to play her composition "Butterflies Flying" at the first and second year students recital on May 17th- which is where she will also meet her new piano teacher:)

Long weekend!

Since our main rink is closed, we are getting all of our skating hours in on Friday and Saturday. It makes for a really long Saturday morning. Then, off to the last Childsplay Acting 1 class- for now. They just did a little presentation on some of the games they played in the class to learn about acting. Photos didn't turn out too well. Then, off to Katie's house for the rest of the weekend so I could continue packing boxes:( Just got home kind of late and getting ready to go to bed. Only 2 more weeks until the big Disney Cruise:) Waiting to go "onstage"!

Flying....

Jazzy at 30,000 feet earlier this week. We are flying back and forth to LAX to be treated by Mary Kay Finn/Thrive Wellness in Santa Monica. Have to go back and forth many times over the next few years to be QRA tested (Quantum Reflex Analysis). No one in Arizona really does this, or does it well. So... guess who will be the next QRA practitioner in Arizona in a year or so!!
