Swimming ribbon....

Jazzy is just waking up from a nap after swimming and shopping today. Today she got a ribbon that says "Aspire Swim School- All Star Swimmer". I'm not sure why they gave out ribbons in the middle of the semester... instead of at the end which is December 12. She just told me to remind everyone that she got a lollipop too:) Then we went to our usual Whole Foods outing and ate at the Asian food bar. They steam the veggies and grill the salmon right in front of you. It's a little healthier than our Thursday night pizza which we get about every other Thursday night since it is next door to the Dance Company!

Hoi An

Hoi An is now under 10 feet of water. The orphanage was built up a little.. about 3 feet or so... but not 10 ft. I do not know where the kids and nannies are. Last year at this time, I was preparing to go to Vietnam. I think I would be beyond hysterical if this was happening last year at this time.

Hoi An orphanage.....

Hoi An is the city where Jasmine's orphanage is located. Apparently it is under about 3-4 feet of water. These are photos just a block from where the orphanage is located. I was going to send a letter to Jasmine's biological family, along with the photos, but I doubt they have electricity right now... let alone postal service.

new Luna clothes.....

Today, after swimming lessons, we drove to Scottsdale to Capezio dance store to get some new ballet clothes... otherwise known as "luna dresses". Luckily, there was a little kids play area there so she couldn't see what I was buying.... so it will be a surprise. Jasmine now has enough "luna dresses" to last for a couple of years.

The other day, she was feeding her doll "cookies"... which are little magnetic letters. She dropped the cookies all over the floor.

Today....

Today we drove all the way to Queen Creek where there was supposed to be a "Pumpkin Party".... but absolutely nothing was going on. It looked like it would have been a fun place to be at night, but nothing was open, so we went shopping instead.

New Semester....

Yesterday was our first day of gymnastics and today we started "Songs for Tots" which is a singing, dancing, craft kind of class. I forgot the camera yesterday.. so no photos, but I was surprised that Jazzy is now able to "skin the cat" on the bar by herself. Just a few months ago, she couldn't even hold onto the bar. Today we did singing, dancing and crafts.

Yet another kid's fair....

Today we went to a fair at the Arizona Cardinals Stadium.... about a 1 1/2 hour drive on a Sunday morning. The first thing we did was a "Meet and Greet" with Dora the Explorer and Spongebob. We waited in the long line, got up to the front, and Jazzy was afraid to go up to Dora!! So, I just carried her up and she was fine. She wouldn't go near Spongebob. He was much too big. There were lots of other characters there like the Backyardigan, Dr. Suess, The Veggies, etc. There were a few other things she didn't want to do like ride the ponies, and a very large assisted trampoline, which was surprising because she is fearless at gymnastics. They had camels there too, but we didn't even attempt that. Next we went to the rides. They sold tickets in pages of 20 for 20.00.... so we bought one page and couldn't even use them all because Jazzy was too little to go on most of the rides. I had to go on all of the other ones with her which I'm sure looked ridiculous. We watched a few live shows, went to the Princess area and painted our nails, then made some crafts. Jazzy slept all the way home.
