Vietnamese Tet Party

Every year, FCV (Families with Children from Vietnam) Phoenix Chapter, has a Tet Party. This year, it was at Ellie Ratcliff's grandma's house. We had all kinds of Vietnamese food and made crafts. One craft we did was to color a design with colored pencils, crumple it up, and paint thick coffee over it. This is supposed to make it look old:)

DBG Snakes

Today in Seedlings, we studied snakes. We learned the proper way to pet snakes, how snakes shed their skin, and what they eat. We also saw several snakes in the garden.... the little plastic fake ones.. that had previously been put there for the kids:)

Gold Medal Swimming

Today was our first day at Gold Medal Swimming. The City of Tempe group classes had 5 little kids with a teen teacher who had no control. Mass chaos. Plus, many times that we had a private lesson, they would give us a 30 minute notice that the teacher wasn't available. Bye bye Tempe.

Jasmine really liked the new place and the teacher, plus they are open 7 days a week and are flexible with make ups.

last Girly Gurlz class....

On Saturday, the girly gurlz made their own rhinestone purses and doorhangers. It was "pinkalishus" day, so everything was pink.

Skating....

On Friday, Jazzy graduated from Snowplow Sam 1 to Snowplow Sam 2. Here she is getting ready to go on the ice- acting silly as usual.

Karate class

Last night we had the last karate class of the session. A new session starts next week. They have learned about "stranger danger" and have memorized their own phone numbers.
When we got home, we just had a simple of dinner of some fish and vegetables. We were sitting in the living room when Jasmine walked away from her plate for a few seconds-- as I have told her numerous times not to do. By the time I could count One-(one thousand), two-(one thousand), three-(one thousand), a little white dog appeared out of nowhere and scarfed up Jasmine's dinner. It happened in slow motion as I yelled "JJeeesssiiiiieeeeeee noooooo"! and the dinner was gone in a flash:) Jasmine cried that her dinner was gone.... but luckily we had more!

last cooking class...

Yeah, Today was our last cooking class, so I get to start going to gym again on Saturday mornings. They made desserts today. One of the desserts they made was some kind of chocolate pudding. They put gummy worms in the pudding and dug thru the "mud" to get the worms to eat them! Needless to say, it was a mess. Glad I forgot my camera this morning.
Later, we have "drama class". Here is Jasmine standing on a ledge singing. I couldn't recognize the song:)
