Mouse costume...

Today, all the kids in the Cinderella production at Polar Ice got their costumes. Amazingly, I don't think we need to alter it. It came with some little mouse ears. It should be such a cute show to see all the little kids... and the big kids...putting on the show. We've been practicing every week since October...

Groundhog Day....

The groundhog saw his shadow yesterday, so we have 6 more weeks of winter! Yippie!!

Jazzy comment of the day.....

Last night, we were in the car on our way to dancing lessons. Jasmine wanted candy for dinner, and of course I told her no. She said in an uppity way..."Well, when you die and I am still alive, that is when you will no longer be the boss of me":) Ok- that sounds good. Then, she said, "When I am the mom and you are the little girl, I am not giving you candy". (Arms crossed for effect). That sounds good too, since it's not the healthiest item to have for dinner..... not that I haven't done it before!

Golfing today.....

Perfect 75 degree weather....

Chinese/Vietnamese New Year....

Jasmine's class is studying Chinese New Year.... which overlaps alot with Vietnamese Tet. They made little dragon puppets. She said "I am a dog, Dr. Vince is a dog, and you are a pig" (Chinese zodiac that we learned at Culture Camp). Then she said "I am a poodle, and Dr. Vince is a bulldog:))"

We made it...

.... home from school, to gymnastics and dance lessons, despite the President O'Bama motorcade. No one knew exactly what route the motorcade was going to take, so luckily we just missed it coming home from school. The Intel plant where O'Bama spoke is right next door to Jasmine's dancing lessons, so we got there apparently right after he left. Good timing!

Here is Jasmine waiting for her lesson while playing with mazes on my Kindle.

Etiquette class:).....

Chandler Parks and Rec has a class called "Glitzy Girls" for ages 4-10 which started tonight. I actually remembered the camera, but parents were not allowed in:( They talked about posture, how to introduce yourself, then they each gave themselves a manicure. First they soaked their fingers in soapy water, then learned how to file the nail properly:)), then paint and apply appliques. Jasmine got her own little nail file.

I wonder... when they get to table manners.... how long it's going to take for the teacher to figure out that Jasmine and I sit on the living room floor almost every night to eat dinner:)))
