Lunch with Gadiel, Abby, and Jenny
Went to lunch with Abby, Gadiel and Jenny at Red Robin where they gave Jazzy a pre-birthday present of a couple pair of school shoes! Little Hello Kitty tennis shoes and black school shoes. They also gave her a cute little outfit. Grandma and Grandpa sent the colorful sandals and silver sparkly shoes as well as alot of clothes. Jasmine is really set for clothes and shoes right now!!!
Then off to swimming lessons where Jasmine graduated from Seahorse to Dolphin. For their "test", they have to jump in the water with clothes on and swim on their back the width of the pool. Jasmine was not too happy, pouting, sniffling a little, very hesitant to get in the water with clothes on, then she was just fine.

Route 66
After Bearizona, we drove around on old Route 66 thru Williams, AZ. We had lunch at Cruiser's Cafe Route 66. Unhealthy stuff like milkshakes, huge portions of appetizers and dinner. We had way too much food left over. Driving home tomorrow, and as Jasmine says "back to the oven"!
Right now, Jasmine is watching Rachel Ray cooking show! I'm not sure where she gets this cooking interest!!! It's definitely not from me. Every time the TV is on, she has to watch some type of cooking channel, "Mexico plate"- or something like that, "Somebody's Vietnam"-- a Vietnamese cooking show, and many others. I try not to let her see the channel when I am wanting to watch something because she will yell "stop, stop, stop... I want to watch that!!!"..
Bearizona in Williams, AZ
Our plan for today was to explore/goof around in Flagstaff all day today before driving home tomorrow....but... Flagstaff was invaded by Arizona Cardinal people coming to watch the Cardinal Camp! I don't get the attraction, but apparently many people are interested in watching that. Flagstaff turned into Los Angeles made up of people with Cardinal shirts on. We were originally going to go to Lowell Observatory to see the planets thru a huge telescope, the pioneer museum, and Northern Arizona Museum. Maybe next time.
We skipped town and drove to Williams which is about 30 miles west of Flagstaff. There is a new place that just opened up last year called Bearizona. It is kind of like a safari where you drive into different locations to see the bears, wolves, bighorn sheep, bison, etc. Then they have a separate area where there are many other animals in more of an enclosed area... pre-school and kindergarten bears, bobcats, peacocks walking around,... and... we went to a raptor show. The falcons swooped down on people just missing their heads.
Next we drove around Williams looking at potential camping areas for future trips. We didn't really see any that fit our "criteria"...i.e. a shower!!

Hermit's Rest...
Today we spent the entire day taking the "Red Bus" up to Hermit's Rest- which was built in the late 1800's as a place for travelers to rest. We stopped at every "Pointe" on the way there to take photos.
Fireplace at Hermit's Rest.
Grand Canyon Raven Ranger.....
Jasmine is now an official "Raven Ranger". As I previously mentioned, we/she had to make observations about rocks/plants/animals, and write a poem.
Jazzy Raven Ranger in front of the Grand Canyon
Listening to the Ranger read stories.
