Ice Cream Social....
Ice Cream Social at the Roundhouse. Then practicing piano since the other kids were also in "Let's Play Music".
Free day!!!
Today we had absolutely nothing planned. Slept in, watched cartoons, made breakfast, went outside to play. Nice crispy cool day sitting outside reading and playing. Then.... Miss Congeniality- Jasmine Stolz- befriends some kids on the playground and wants to go on a hike with their family... the Gibsons. OK- I researched them... they live in Mesa, go to Let's Play Music, and the mom is a teacher, so now Jasmine is somewhere in Pinetop hiking around with them. I get the whole place to myself for a few hours... then we are going to an ice cream social here at the resort. I found out that this place is actually a time-share. It is a one bedroom apartment with kitchen/living room/bedroom, etc. The Gibson's parents/grandparents own some type of time share deal with Diamond Resorts International... so they can just go anywhere for free. Nice!!! Well, we had to pay for ours... but it was a pretty good deal on Living Social from whoever owns this place. It is very quiet, no airplanes, cars, horns beeping.... just nice, cool and quiet. Back to the rat race tomorrow!!
Jazzy playing on the playground with Bryn Gibson with whom she is now hiking somewhere!

Roundhouse....
From Prescott, we drove 5 hours yesterday over to the Pinetop-Lakeside area to stay at the Roundhouse Resort for 3 nights... a Living Social Deal!- ha! Today was our first day exploring the town- checking out the restaurants, ice cream parlor of course, hiking trails- of which there are many, and swimming in the indoor pool here at the resort. They also have ping pong, pool, raquetball, etc.
From the Roundhouse Resort, we received a coupon book...and one of the coupons was for a free pizza at the Hon-Dah Casino a few miles away. So.... we got our free pizza and ate in the smoke filled casino. Yuk. We just had to wash our hair and clothes since the smoke was so thick:(. I don't remember if smoking is not allowed in the Las Vegas Casinos or they just have extremely good ventilation because I don't remember it being like that at all in Las Vegas.
Perfect 70 degrees today, and in the 50's at night. We spent a couple of hours today looking at properties... as I always do when I find a nice town. Always open to possibilities!
Now we're going to the movie "Dolphin Tale" at the little theater here at the Roundhouse. Jasmine already saw the movie this summer!
Swimming in the indoor pool where Jasmine lasted for about 1 minute saying it was "too cold"!

Carnival in the Pines!!
Big Carnival in the Pines.......
Lots of games and prizes!! Jazzy has a little circus box filled with all of her loot- yo-yos, slinkies, little tops, etc.
Painting Daniel's arm using a stencil.
Dinner again tonight- constantly eating!!!
PARTY!!! and dancing!!
Lots of fun and crafts:)
Food everywhere- breakfast, lunch, dinner, lots of snacks, brownies, candy. There’s no end to it!!
For the whole summer, Jasmine has been bugging me about going fishing. “Let’s go fishing”, “Let’s go fishing”. “Let’s go fishing”! Today she had the chance to go fishing all morning, and she decided to stay at the campground and make crafts!!! It was ok with me, since I really didn’t want to go fishing, but I was a bit shocked! Maybe next year.
In front of our cabin:
In front of the Liberty Bell with her friend Daniel... whom she played mommy to the entire weekend!
Wouldn't leave the poor little kid and his mom alone.
We made pillow cases with puffy paint, and window hangers.

Friendly Pines Camp Prescott, AZ
Off to Prescott for 3 days and 2 nights at the Friendly Pines Camp with Arizona Foster/Adoptive Families!! No phone or internet service. Good and bad depending on how you look at it. The first night, we met our old and some new friends, played on the playground, and made a sign for our cabin- the Toltec Cabin. The theme for this weekend is Three Ring Circus:))
One of the Girl Scouts in the group- for a project- made a blanket and pillowcase for every child in the group! There was a huge pile of blankets and draw string pillow cases to choose from. I will have to find out her name and who she is.

Around the camp fire....
Then we had a nice dinner of endless sub sandwiches. Food everywhere constantly this weekend!!
