Tuesdays are long.....

School all day, then to the dentist, skating practice with Jaime, swimming, then to Rubio's. Getting teeth cleaned and examined. No cavities. Adult molars coming in:( Next to regular Tuesday night skating with Jaime. Crappy photos thru a scratched up plexiglass window. Then regular Tuesday night swimming with instructor Tim. Then to Rubio's where we met Ms. Janalee (music teacher) and her four daughters just finishing their dinner. We sat with them for awhile on the porch. Forgot to take a picture with them. Jazzy is still wet from swimming. In the 50's for the past couple of days, 80's today, and mid-90's for the rest of the week. No springtime here. Just cold to hot. No in between. Then into the 100's usually in April.

Hallway Bulletin Board

Yet another birthday party,....

Zoe Lanz- Jasmine's classmate had her birthday party at Chuck E Cheez today. They all had fun! I'm exhausted. Jazzy gave Zoe a jewelry box that you decorate yourself, as well as some beads and a chain to make a necklace:) Jasmine, Zoe, and Matthew. Opening Jazzy's present. With Mr. Chuck-E himself! These birthday parties are kind of fun because the kids have unlimited access to all of the games and indoor rides/activities.

Annie...

Tonight we're watching the musical "Annie" 1999 version. So far, so good. Their "adoption terminology" is very incorrect, but we're having fun anyway. Jasmine's new "Dramatic Program" for her next competition is the song "Maybe", so I wanted her to know about the music she was skating to:) We have an Annie-looking dress that someone gave us years ago that finally fits. I was about to either give or throw it away! Glad I didn't. Just bought a red curly wig, and now all I have to do is figure out how to make the skates look like little black shoes with white socks. We only have a few weeks left until the competition, so hopefully it will all come together. Still doing the Nancy Sinatra "Boots" for the "Artistic Program". We temporarily nixed the "Freeskate Program" until the summer. It was a bit too complicated, and Jaime thought that Jasmine wasn't ready for it yet. It is/was to the music "Everyday Princess" from "Princess and the Frog". We'll finish it by summer:)

Scottsdale Arabian Show....

Today we spent the day at Westworld, walking around, watching the horses at the Scottsdale Arabian Show, and of course,.. shopping. Five simultaneous rings/classes going on at once, plus massive numbers of booths selling everything horse related and not. I looked at a pair of cut off boots that I thought was "cute", and looked at the price tag...$1100.00. Had to put my glasses on to make sure I was reading it correctly. We did buy a couple of things... a little pink sparkly horse for Jasmine's bedroom door, a little horse tee shirt for her, and a new purse for me. We watched quite a few classes. The most exciting moment was at the end of the Arabian costume class, one of the horses became very anxious and wouldn't move. He was just frozen like a statue. Two guys came over to try to lead the horse out, and he/she just went ballistic, dumped the rider, and took off right thru the middle of the ring where all of the computers, desks, announcers, and judges chairs were. Everything went flying, including women with suits on, chairs, papers, etc... It was amazing that no one was hurt. Next, we went to one of the yearling halter classes. I always like to go to that particular class because it is the best of both worlds- little babies, and extremely handsome young and older men with three-piece suits on leading the little babies around!! Most of the people in the audience are typically women:)) In the shopping area, there were many artists. Jasmine kept bugging this one particular artist who was painting portraits. She was really interested in what he was doing! Had a fun day. Perfect weather, as usual for this time of year!

Gadiel's 6th Birthday!

Big Birthday Party today for Gadiel's 6th at the Chandler Build A Bear, followed by lunch and presents at the Food Court! Jazzy got a Hello Kitty Bear.
