Gold Medal Gymnastics egg hunt.....

Waaayyy to much candy here!! Some of the eggs were just in plain sight, and many had to be gotten by going thru some type of obstacle course. One was at the very top of the climbing rope and stuck to the ceiling:) Jasmine told me as we were getting into the car to leave-"Oh Mom, we're supposed to bring a basket"! Thanks for the big notice, Jazz. All of the Easter baskets are in use by the Easter bunny right now, so I just told her to run in the house and get in the hallway closet and pick out any basket. That's why we have a Halloween container!:)

National American Miss gown...

Here is Jazzy's new gown. It arrived dirty with hooks missing and falling off- all fixable. The only real issue is that it is way to long so that she cannot walk in it. Hopefully, someone can figure out how to shorten it. She looks really pretty in it:)

National American Miss practice......

This weekend we had our first "job interview" practice, as well as how to stand/sit, etc for the interview and public speaking. I was wondering how they were going to do this, and quickly found out. They had all the parents stand, and told all of the 100 or so girls (age 4-20) to randomly pick an adult that they didn't know, 4 girls per adult. I had two 11-12 yr olds and two 15-16 yr olds. Then each of the parents was given a list of potential questions for each age group. So... I got to be a "judge" and do mock interviews with the four girls. Jazzy went to another parent across the room:) It was actually kind of fun! Then we practiced walking with a gown on and introducing ourselves:) Just bought Jazzy's new gown online... used of course. It is really beautiful, and I really hope it fits.

Egg Coloring this Weekend...

Last year we colored too many eggs and had to give them away to the neighbors. This year we only colored a few. Not being a happy homemaker, I didn't know you could color eggs by putting them in a plastic bag with a few drops of food coloring. It kind of makes them look tie dyed. The whole process was fast and easy to clean up. My kind of eggs. Now just have to get Jasmine to eat them.

Skating Thru the Decades rehearsal...

Every Saturday morning we rehearse for a show coming up in April called "Skating Thru the Ages". All of the younger girls just got poodle skirts and were supposed to wear them today. They each got to choose their own color. We figured most of the girls would choose pink, so we chose turquoise. Jazzy's friend Katie thought the same thing and also chose turquoise:) Katie and Jazz. Nancy Sinatra ready to go on the ice and perform her routine to "These Boots Are Made for Walkin". With the group.

Studio 3 Academy of Performing Arts.....

Jazzy spent the week at Studio 3 in Gilbert, AZ, where they worked all week on the production "Annie". She played one of the kids in the NYC Orphanage named "Carli". She had alot of fun and wants to eventually go back. One of the older guys who Jazzy hangs out with before "Kid's Club" at the gym opens asked me today if Jasmine was on spring break right now. I told him that she was at the Academy of Performing Arts in Gilbert all week preparing for this musical. He said in a very funny sarcastic way..."I'm shocked!" "Such a shy quiet little girl needs some kind of outlet like that!!" :) Jazzy is not shy at all after about 15 seconds. It's funny to watch her at the gym sitting at a table with all of the "90's club" guys (all over the age of 90) talking with them like she's known them forever:) After the show, we went out for ice cream:) With Jessica Webb who played "Miss Hannegan".

Fun day with Hope Gonzalez and Jazzy. It was so crowded there, but had alot of fun getting hair braided, body painting, and a couple of rides... as well as the junk food. Then went to Blimpie's for lunch..whooohooo....and home to ride bikes.
