Fun party....
When I pulled into the school parking lot, I could hear music *blaring* SO loudly from the front doors!! Candy, small toys and children were everywhere! Every single room had some type of carnival game or craft set up. The gymnasium was full of sugared-up extremely hyper kids running around yelling and screaming!! What a sight to behold:) I had to look in every room and finally found Jasmine in a craft room making a bracelet:) She had red lipstick on her lips and cheeks. Here is Jasmine with Charlotte who is in her class at school, and twin sister Camille who is in the other second grade class. They all have poodle skirts from skating in the "Decades" show last April:) Charlotte and Camille will be at our birthday party tomorrow:)

School Dance.....
Tonight is the all school "Decades Dance". Everyone can dress up from any decade they would like. They are dancing, playing games, and making crafts. I wanted Jazzy to wear her Nancy Sinatra outfit, but she wanted to wear the poodle skirt.
Jazzy with her teacher Miss Ferdowsian. First smile I have ever seen!

Last time at eye doctor for awhile.....
Yea!! We don't have to go back for an entire year!! We have been visiting Dr. Plotnik at Phoenix Children's Hospital (downtown Phoenix) every 3 months for the past 3 years! Jazzy's stereoscopic vision is very good. Three dimensional vision still needs some work, but that is not his "area". So, we are just tweaking the prescription a bit, and no visit for another year!! So, now we have more time to focus on the new teeth problem!
Doctor and dentist week!
It seems to be doctor and dentist week. I have finally, after 3 years, saved up enough to have my extensive dental surgery done. Now Jasmines teeth are coming in crooked, and she may have to have braces:( Great! Not happy about that at all. We are going back in a week or so to have a couple of her teeth pulled, so that hopefully the new ones coming in will be able to come in straight. Plus, I am going to get a second opinion from an orthodontist. The seemingly new-graduate dentist we had was very unsure of herself. We are going to see if there is anything we can do right now to hopefully prevent or minimize braces in the future. Other than that... typical busy week!

Busy week!!!
Jasmine digging up archeological artifacts with her classmates:)!! Cups, spoons, old dried up banana peels!, bones, gems (made of chalk), and beads. They studied various vocabulary and spelling words associated with that topic... i.e. "dirt":)
Then on Friday night, all of the second graders had a "pasta party" potluck. It was mayhem!, but alot of fun. No pictures since I forgot the camera as usual. On Saturday, I had to be in a seminar part of the day and Jazzy was in her theater class. After theater, we went to her early birthday dinner at a new (to us) Vietnamese restaurant on the ASU campus. Her theater class is at Childsplay Arizona which is a theater school on the ASU campus. Some of the ASU theater students "intern" and teach there.
Then today..among other things, was Katie Kaedden's birthday party. Here is Katie, Neveah, and Jasmine... all ice skaters.
I didn't stay for the party, so only have one photo. Next week is Jazzy's birthday party at Skateland Mesa. It will be fun to watch all of her ice skating friends trying to roller skate!

Happy Thursday!
Jasmine loves Thursdays because she is in an after-school cooking club. Last week they learned how to make bread...in the microwave!!!:( Yuk. She is happy because they get to eat everything they make:) On Wednesdays, she is in the "Science Club". Yesterday they did the very old experiment where vinegar is mixed with baking soda and the balloon blows up, plus they made some type of timer with sand. Last week they made their own "super-balls". We're also getting ready for the next skating competition. Her Dramatic program is to "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat" where she is "Marie" the little kitten. We have some work to do on the costume, like making the tummy pink. The pink skate covers go over her skate boots. There is also a tail which cannot be seen in the photo.
Daisy and Skittles having their early morning cilantro snack a couple of days ago. All organic, of course. Only the best for those little pigs!
