Jewelry class....

Last week, Jasmine took a little jewelry making class. She made me a necklace, bracelet, and almost a second necklace. They learned Morse Code in the class. The pink and blue bracelet says "I Love You, Mom" in Morse Code. Jasmine can actually be somewhat nice on rare occasions.

"The Lake"

Everyone always says they are going to "the lake". When I ask which lake, they say "Take your pick. There are 10,000 of them". Yesterday, we went to "Detroit Lakes", which is a town only one hour drive from us, built around several lakes. It was "ok". There was a nice "beach" and a bunch of pontoons, but that was it. Someone said that there was "shopping". We looked everywhere for a touristy street with "shopping", but never found one. We have to find another more exciting "lake". Last year, we went to Leech Lake, which is very far away. We'll have to look for another lake. Jasmine said "Well, it's not San Diego!"

My new bike!!

Jasmine always wants to go on a bike ride. I gave away my old bike before we moved, so I have not been able to go on a ride with her. Now I can in my new Margaritaville bike from WalMart! It even has a bird that chirps when you squeeze him:))

Spring Concert!

Last Fargo-Moorehead Children's Choir concert of the year. I have SO many photos of Jasmine in the choir, so I didn't take any more. We went out to "Randy's Diner" after the concert- one of our favorite places to eat. It was pouring down rain the whole weekend.

Rain Barrel Class

Tonight we took a Rain Barrel making class from the Fargo Parks and Rec. I thought there would be some men there- but no, it was all women:) I guess guys already know how to make rain barrels. I learned how to use the drill properly and "install" the faucet. And what was very nice was that if you sign a form saying that you will teach someone else to make a rain barrel, they give you 60% of your money back. Now all I need is the gutter! We've definitely got the rain!

Fargo Moorehead Youth Choir

Last night, the F-M Youth Choir had a small concert for the Bethany Nursing Home- a HUGE group of nursing homes in the area.
