End of the gymnastics class...
We're getting close to the end of the gymnastics class. Jas is doing better at following directions, but still resents being told what to do. She would rather just run around and do her own thing for the whole class. They won't have the gymnastics class again until the fall, but we will be having swimming lessons instead. We'll see how that goes.
This weekend she had fun playing at the veterinarian's kids club. There were 20,000 stodgey close- minded veterinarians at the huge convention this weekend. I attended the neurology track since I treat alot of seizures and neurological disorders. I also attended the classes on autoimmune disorders. One class I attended was given by a very well known researcher on AIHA (autoimmune hemolytic anemia) which is, in my opinion, mostly a vaccine induced disorder. When she asked the audience if they had seen less AIHA since the vaccine guidelines had been changed, everyone groaned. I could feel all of their little boxes around themselves get even smaller. She was suggesting that since the vaccine guidelines are recommending only vaccinating every 3 years instead of every year, that she was seeing less AIHA. The groans were heard because vaccinating yearly- with all of the unnecessary drugs and procedures that go along with it- are the grunt DVM's bread and butter. They were angry that she was even suggesting that their precious vaccines were causing so many problems. I hate that I have to waste so much time and money going to these stupid things. At least Jasmine had a good time. I will have photos of her soon.

County Fair...

Today we went to the County Fair since I will be in a seminar pretty much every day for the next two weeks. Silly Mommy forgot to bring the camera, but we had our photos taken in one of those old photo booths. The booth was from the 1940's, so we had to keep doing it over and over again. Finally, they just gave it to us for free. Jazzy had jasmine flowers painted on her face by the face painter, rode a pony all by herself, and saw all the animals. We saw goats, sheep, pigs and watched a steer show. She got to hold a tiny little baby goat for awhile. For the pony ride... they strapped her on... which I wasn't too happy about. If the animal spooks, I would rather see someone fall off than be strapped on to cause more problems... oh well. We ate some junk food... a funnel cake... which I had never experienced and didn't even know what it was. Basically, a very unhealthy fatty donut:) We wanted to ride the rides, but they didn't open until 5 PM. That was kind of a disappointment because Jazzy kept pointing to all the rides she wanted to go on, but they were all closed.
Here she is after getting home with her face painted and her honorary sheriff's badge

Desert Thunder....
Today we went with Joan and Jolee to Luke AFB for an air show called Desert Thunder. We left early this morning because we knew it was going to be a 1 1/2 hr drive. Apparently, there were over a million people there this weekend, but Joan has a disabled sticker, so we were able to park kind of close. It's a good thing because we had SO much stuff, it was like we were staying for a week. We had a cooler with drinks for the entire Air Force, crackers, cookies, bananas, grapes, you name it and it was in that cooler. Joan had the idea of bringing an awning which we... two un-mechanically inclined women- had to set up by ourselves. It wasn't too bad, but even early in the morning, the wind had already increased to around 20 mph.
The air show was completely *amazing*. The most incredible part was a new aircraft called a F-22 Spectre (or something like that) which isn't even in their "inventory" yet. It is kind of heart shaped and can go straight up, straight down, stand still, make right hand turns, and it is truly louder than thunder. It was kind of like a heart shaped alien space ship with the up and down motion. We also saw many other aerobatics... and one time a 1940's plane of some sort flew upside down about 25 feet off the ground right in front of the audience.
They also had many aircraft on display that you could walk into and thru. Some were very old, but they also had the most recent unmanned aircraft and other brand new planes.
They also dropped bombs. When they dropped the first one, I actually thought one of the planes had crashed!! and I think alot of other people did too. It was a huge fireball with black smoke, but then it kept occurring, so I finally figured it out.
They had to stop the air show early because the wind was then up to 40 mph. We had a bit of fun taking the awning down in that wind, packing up and leaving, but we finally made it.
I also have officially given up on using my worthless expensive video camera which is not compatible with my computer. I have resorted to taking snippets of video on my camera for now.

Birthday Party.....
Today we attended Kennedy (Lulu's) birthday party. Her mother Meg, cuts my hair. We had pizza, cupcakes, ice cream and cookies. Jasmine got a balloon and it got away from her 5 seconds after we walked out the door. She cried until we stopped at the grocery store to get her a new one.
Jasmine always has to be front and center. You can see just the back of her head on one of the photos.
