Class book...

Each class at Dobson Academy published their own book. Each person in Miss Wachtel's class wrote about their favorite part of the kindergarten year. Of course, Jasmine's favorite part was "recess and playing outside with friends". The picture she drew is of a very large canvas/tent like structure outside which is the school lunchroom.... except on really hot days. Pretty handy.... they just hose everything down for the next day. Her favorite part is playing with her friends under that structure. We definitely have some work to do on the handwriting:)

Miss Wachtel told me that next year she will be going to the newly built "sister school" of Dobson Academy-- the new Val Vista Academy in Gilbert. We will miss seeing her around the school:(

New Jazzy quote....

Just now we were driving to dance lessons. KTAR talk radio station was talking briefly about teenager's high school business projects teaching them to "think outside of the box". Somehow that morphed to "thinking outside of the box" when asking someone to the prom. A high school kid apparently tweeted Lady Gaga, and a bunch of other celebrities- some of whom were "porn stars" asking them to come to his prom. When they said "porn star" a couple of times, Jasmine said...."Mom, was I a "born star""? While keeping a straight face I said "Yes, sweetheart.... you were born a star, and always will be"! Then I tried to hide my face and laugh hysterically..:)

Dobson Academy "Camp"....

Dobson Academy has a spring break camp... bouncy houses, games, theme days, petting zoo. Today was "Jersey Day". One day this week is "crazy hair day". So, Jasmine was already pretty tired when I picked her up from "camp" Then...we had to go to swimming tonight since we missed swimming lessons due to the ice skating show. I wouldn't even bother going except that it was pre-paid. We came home.... and I gave Jazzy her dinner and walked away for a couple of minutes to check my messages. This is what I found when I came back. Just a little tired from the long day!:) Me too!

Clogging recital...

Last night was a little one minute recital for Jazzy's clogging class. It was an 8 week class taught by Kristin... (can't remember her last name right now)... Miss Teen Idaho 2006:) who just moved to Arizona a couple of months ago with her new husband.
Clogging is sort of like tap dancing with a German and Dutch history, but the taps are much looser and have a lower sound to them, kind of like horses clunking along the road.
Of course I videoed it but didn't take a photo until we got outside......The dance was to the song "Lollipops":)

Notice any resemblance?

Last show......

Today was the last Cinderella show! Yippee! Jazzy's kindergarten teacher, Melissa Wachtel and her fiancee Jeremy came to watch, as well as Gadiel, Abby and Jenny. It was probably the best show, as compared to last night when everyone fell down and was late for their performances.

We had a party after the show- cake and punch:) We were going to go out for lunch/dinner with Gaidel, Abby, and Jenny.... but they had to pick Mark up from work... since their other car broke down:( Jazzy and I went to Red Lobster right across the street from the ice rink. So did alot of other people from the show, so we weren't alone:) Jasmine loves seafood. She insists on eating the tail of the shrimp! --- "because all Vietnamese people eat the tails, and so do people from Arizona:)". (A Jazzy quote from today). This person from Arizona does not eat the tails! Yuk!

I am so ready for a vacation right now!:)

Jazzy, Gadiel and Abby.

Miss Wachtel, Jeremy and Jazzy after the show.

At Red Lobster- showing her hair. She had *tons* of glitter in her hair... which doesn't show up in the photo.

Jasmine wanted me to take a picture of her with all of her stuffed animals from skating this weekend- a mouse, Chi dog, Bear with a tutu just like Jazzy's, and a doll.
