Big Day Tomorrow...
Dental surgery tomorrow. Been saving up for three years!! They require pre-payment on everything. Why? I have no idea other than it is a dental college and they say it is cheaper there. It really doesn't seem cheaper to me, though. Everything is paid for now. Had a CT Scan of my face and jaw again a couple of weeks ago. The radiologist says he doesn't think I need a bone graft after all. Yippee!!! That saves several thousand dollars right there. So, tomorrow I get two implants, then many weeks later a soft tissue graft from the palate onto the surrounding gum area- which makes up for the money saved on the bone graft:( Not going to be too pretty for the next few weeks, but with my dating record over the past several years, it really doesn't matter anyway. Will be a long day, but finally after years of planning for it, it will finally be done! Yeah!!

Day in the Desert....
We spent the day at McDonald Ranch in Scottsdale! Petting zoo, hay maze, hay rides, pumpkins, panning for gold. We have either someone's birthday party or skating competitions every weekend for the next month, so we wanted to do something fall-ish while we had the chance!
Horseback riding. She did pretty well being on a larger horse this time:)
Afraid of the pig!!! Huh?? This was the cutest friendliest pig, and Jasmine was afraid of her:(
Lots of other animals... rabbits, baby pigs, goats, sheep, and "farm dogs" just sleeping in the sun!

Panning for gold!, then we exchanged the "gold" for candy at the General Store:)

Pumpkin
Patch! Fun day!
Last Childsplay Theater class for the semester.....

Sick Jazzy:(.....
It was probably inevitable. Tons of sugar and junk over the weekend, major cupcake overload on her birthday. On Wednesdays, they have a Rita's truck outside the school at "early release". Normally we do get any because she goes to Science Club on Wednesdays, but for some reason the idiotic teacher cancelled the Science club class without telling anyone. So, there were about 10 kids standing in the hallway for 45 minutes until the parents could pick them up. Just cancelled the class- no notice, no explanation. And this school prides themselves on their "communication". Anyway... so, ice cream was had by all on Wednesday. Then, we have "cooking club" on Thursdays. It is Jasmine's favorite class;) When is it Thursday, When is it Thursday?-- over and over because of the cooking class. The teacher says she alternates making something "healthy" with something else (unhealthy) every week. Last week they made pizzas out of English muffins. I guess that was the "healthy week". Then today they made donuts in a deep frier, coated them with sugar, then ate them:(((( Last time something like this happened was when we went to a friends house and made sopapillas in a deep frier. Sick Jazzy then too. She kept complaining that her stomach was upset during dance class. She was also extremely tired and groggy. In the car on the way home, I happened to look back at her and saw that look of "I am going to vomit any second"! While driving at 45 mph, I reached on the back seat floor and picked up a towel that I have there for when I go thru the car wash. Then- tossed it in her lap with 0 seconds to spare. Of course, when she got home, she said she felt much better- other than being tired. She actually wanted some chicken broth. Stupid school- deep fried donuts!!!

Friends that couldn't come to our party....
Kiki Owens- Grant's sister. She is only 12 years old and is the most amazing skater competing at a Regional Level now.
Taylor Terreri - also 12 years old skating at a high level.

Darby Fillbein who is Jasmine's age doing her Artistic Program. I'll eventually post photos of her sister and brother too.
She had to be in Mexico for a friends wedding this weekend.
Kiki and Grant skating a duet last Christmas.... Snoopy and the bird (don't know his name:)
Zoe Fillbein skating last weekend in Flagstaff
Micah Fillbein was also invited and was in the wedding in Mexico. He is only 3 years old and started skating when he learned to walk. He is a big hockey player already!

Crazy party......
Jazzy's birthday party on Sunday September 29 at the Mesa Skateland complete with "black lights" and flashing cups:) My photos are terrible! In attendance were her friends from skating: Katie Kaedden, Emma Erlandson, Annali Harp, Mia Cornis, Abby Dalsin, Grant Owens, Neveah Two, and Celeste and Anaise Van der Voorn. Little sister Elise Van der Voorn had her tonsils out and could not make it. From school: Charlotte and Camille Smith who occasionally ice skate, Emma Arbogast and Hope Gonzales from kindergarten, Amber Thomas from kindergarten as well as her little sister Heidi, Charlotte and Camille Smith from our current school. Charlotte and Camille also skate sometimes. The kids roller skated, had pizza and Sprite (yuk) in their flashing cups, answered trivia questions about Jasmine such as "What is Jasmine's favorite color? (easy- everyone knows it's pink) and what is Jasmines favorite animal? (dogs of course). A couple of kids won a prize for knowing that bit of trivia! Jasmine got to announce her age and her "favorite song" over the loud speakers with the "DJ" and of course, they played the Katy Perry song "Roar". The whole day was mass confusion and mayhem, but everyone had a great time:)
One of the big attractions at Skateland is all of the video/arcade games that are part of the party. The highlight for Jasmine was when she was playing a "slot machine" type of game and "hit the jackpot". She won 500 tickets!! She could then go to the "store" and get a bunch of junk! Here is Jasmine starting to collect her tickets with Grant Owens (her sometimes boyfriend). All of the girls compete for his attention:)). His grandmother tells a funny story about one of his little girl classmates at school telling Arlette (the grandmother) to bring him back to school right away after his activity because "He's MINE"!! They say that Jasmine and Grant will be pairs skaters someday! We'll see about that:)
Anais Van der Voorn. I tried to get photos of everyone, but the flash was either too bright or not bright enough!
Jazzy starting to collect her tickets!
Jenny and Gadiel. Not sure where sister Abby is.
Not sure who this dinosaur guy is who was walking around all day. Hope, dinosaur guy, Jazzy, Grant, Katie and Neveah off to the side.
Mia, Anaise, and Annali
Hope getting ready to go onto the skating floor.
Emma Arbogast and her mom, Milena.
Emma Erlandson from ice skating:)
Most of the group in one shot: Amber Thomas, little sister Heidi to her right, Emma Arbogast facing front in pink, Charlotte Smith with glasses (an amazing artist. Her drawings/cartoons/caricatures look like they were done by an adult)
Camille Smith-(twins) next to Charlotte, the backs of Hope, Jasmine, Neveah and Katie, then Annali, Mia, Emma, Grant, Celeste Van der Voorn, Anaise, and standing in lavender shirt- Abby Dalsin. Missing are Abby and Gadiel somewhere.
Missing from the party: Kiki Owens and Taylor Terrari who were at a skating competition in California, and Theresa Robb who was out of town! Fun and exhausting day:)))
