very busy weekend!

We spent most of this weekend working at Scheel's Arena where the hockey team Fargo Force plays. Each time we work at the hot dog stand, each participating choir member gets a whopping 30.00 in their travel account for trips the choir is taking next summer. I personally sold 538.00 worth of hot dogs on Friday night and 566.00 on Saturday night. That was just ME only....let alone the other parents working there. The hot dogs are 1.00 before the first puck is dropped, then they are 2.00...so that's a lot of hot dogs!!! Sometimes the line was WAY down the hallway. People are really impatient too! They want it NOW!!. I couldn't move fast enough for some people. I did volunteer for some other times, but my poor foot could not take it. I will just have to donate money to Jasmine's account when I can. I couldn't even put weight on my foot by Sunday. Plus..Jasmine was really bored sitting there for 5 hours each night. We might go back to actually watch a game- since we never saw any part of the two games. I don't even know if we won or lost. We got there way before the game started to "prepare" everything, then left way after the game was over to clean everything:( Oh well, it was something to do. Before the game- After the game- we are exhausted. No way to take photos during the game.

Happy 10th Birthday Jazzy!

Jasmine had to spend most of her day at "choir camp". The same thing happened last year. We came home after eating pizza at "camp", then had birthday cake. Yikes! Not a very healthy day. The weather was perfect- a nice fall day. We wanted to go to a movie, but nothing was playing that we really wanted to see. We're going to go to a really nice Vietnamese restaurant tomorrow:) Up first thing in the morning to open a present, make a paracord bracelet, then off to "choir camp" for the day. They are already preparing for the Christmas concerts. Jazzy is in the "Ruby" choir- grades 3-6. They also have Emerald-preschool thru 2nd grade, and Diamond 7-12th grade. The choir had a pizza party after that. We went home, had a little cake, and played with Stefani- the little birthday kitty. Fast asleep and watching a movie a few nights ago!

Fargo Fall Festival.....

We spent part of yesterday at a Fall Festival at Rhealt Farm- a little farm in the middle of the city where they hold various events. There were many games, a maze, pumpkin patch, kid's 4-H projects (bunnies and chickens), junk food:) We had a good time!petting someone's 4-H bunny. Playing lots of games to win useless "prizes":) A pumpkin painted by Jasmine. Eating garbage!

F-M Youth Choir

Tonight we joined the Fargo-Moorehead Youth Choir. I was really surprised when I found out that there are about 75 kids in the choir- many more than I expected. They don't have as many performances during the year as the Chandler Children's Choir did- which is totally fine with me. They practice every Sunday night at the Reineke Center for Performing Arts on the NDSU Campus- which is very close. I don't have any photos because the parents have to wait out in the hall:( Jasmine complained that they were sitting in desks most of the time...which is really weird. Our other choir was always up and dancing or doing something physical with each song they sang. Maybe they just did this for the first practice. They have the kids divided into Emerald: K-2nd Ruby: 3-6th grade and Diamond 7-12th grade. I'm really glad we found this choir because Jazzy really liked singing in the CCC. Bad photo.

Stefani- our new cat....

Here is our new kitty Stefani. We get her on Sept 24th:) Jasmine picked Stefani out at the Cat's Cradle Shelter yesterday- a present for her birthday:) We probably petted and held 50 cats and kittens- This is the one she picked:)) We were kind of sad because we forgot to take a picture of her yesterday when we were there. We just looked on their Facebook page and there she was!!! Here she is with her littermates: Gwen- the grey kitty, Stefani- the calico, Blake- top orange kitty, Shelton- orange/white kitty.
